Ruby Tuesday (2)

Another Tuesday, another hue of Ruby RED. These are hard to find in the Netherlands; radicchio Treviso or red chicory. (Or in Dutch: roodlof i.p.v. witlof). Slightly bitter, nice to braise in olive oil or shredded in a salad.

    I'd like to suggest you another way to enjoy this radicchio...braised with some olive oil, add some sausage... it's make a wonderful sauce for pasta!
    A classical combination in Italy for a quick but fantastic meal!Enjoy Martina
