Gadgets that work! Pre-cut parchment paper

Back in January, Lisa at La Mia Cucina, jumped to the opportunity to review Reynold's parchment paper. True to style she reviewed it up and down and asked bloggers to help convince the Parchment Parliament People out there to give us pre-cut parchment rounds, cookie sheet sizes or please alter the box so we can actually use it to tear it the way we want to...

Well, living in Holland obviously Reynold's isn't a brand we know, but I bet the complaints here are the same. Those cardboard boxes tear away at the roll and I end up ripping the box apart, hurting myself and use scissors.

This post is long overdue because Santa (by way of my Mom) brought me pre-cut parchment rounds, fitted to use in spring forms. All the way from Germany, easy as apple pie! Tadaaa!

  4. So waddya say Karen, should we go into business providing us Dutch folk with the tools we need to bake?

    I ordered some last year from the states for cake baking, and was oh so pleased with the results.

  5. That's the reason I have children :-). To be honest, I buy the cheap parchment paper from LIDL etc, that's so much cheaper!

  6. OOO wat een goede oplossing voor appeltaart.
    Had gisteren nog een appeltaart die lekte uit de springvorm en dit is ideaal!!

  8. Very handy, I'll be on the look out next time we're in Germany to do some serious shopping :-)))
    I buy huge rolls (50 m) from Hanos that really have good 'teeth' to tear it along. For rounds I fold it a few times to a center point and then cut to make some sort of a circle., though that doesn't go up the sides as well...

  9. @noskos: mijn moeder had ze uit zo'n 1 euro shop (heeft ze een neus voor om die te vinden ;-)

    @Mevrouw...Ja! Let's! pure vanilla, lemon oil, pie plates and all of King Arthurs assortment!

    @Ulrike: that's what I normally do!

    @Gea + Anzj: absoluut! Wel herbruikbaar maar niet na die appeltaart...

    @Lien; I love to go to Hanos again! Been there only once with Monique

  14. I know what your mean about ripping the box when trying to tear parchment paper. Pre cut rounds would certainly save a lot of hassel.
