Newborn Apples on Ruby Tuesday (8)

Apples!

I am so proud! Finally there are little applings growing on my 4 year old birthday tree! This year it had the most beautiful blossom so far so my hopes were up. Now there's an absolute ban on playing soccer in the garden around the tree!
Seems that the advice to support the lithe tree with a sturdy pole was a sound one, the thought behind was that there wasn't any energy left to grow fruit because it had to struggle to keep standing upright. Good job tree!

Isn't that just a great feeling that you can pick your own produce in a few months! I've got 1 fig on my figbush and shoo everyone away that may touch it (accidental or other wise), so I totally understand the soccer rule.

It is interesting that gardeners can tell you why tree can't give fruits. Mystery:)

heerlijk om eigen fruit te hebben! Ik koester ook elke dag alle boompjes en spreek ze kalmerend toe :-)

Yay! Apples! So cool that you can grow them in your yard. Hope the birds leave you some. ;-)
My cherry tree sported it's first (1) cherry this year, now it is just a cherry pit on a stem - still attached to the tree!

Ah birds! never thought of that! Worms I thought of... not birds. Hmm.

I think I can see those apples growing these days. So much fun!

Zélf oogsten is het helemaal! PS niet vergeten bramen te gaan plukken.
