(I think I just invented some idiom of my own...) Are you on a budget? Would you like to spent less on a meal and eat well at the same time? Are you rooting around in your fridge and pantry at the end of the month trying to assemble a worthy meal? Well, foodbloggers around the world have the solution for you!
Lindy from Toast has introduced a one-time event that she has aptly named Something out of Nothing. You can read her introduction here and finally the round-up which has resulted in a wealth (yep!) of recipes. All these recipes are fit, as Lindy says: "for low funds, empty cupboards, and hard times". Great idea!
PS: picture of Stringozzi Pasta. Narrow Umbrian pasta ribbons that are thicker than spaghetti and look similar to shoestrings. The thickness of this pasta provides for a chewier texture.
Don't know where to get the time to read it all ;-) but i've put it on my favorites and hope to dig in to it soon....
ReplyDeleteJust kidding, i like to read blogs and experience new ideas and see how some one else lives and looks at food or how to make tasty diners with not much to spend.
Living live as how it comes to you.
Thanks for the mention. I'm still enjoying "The Sourdough Diaries" greatly.
