Easy to bake substitute for Applecake, I must warn you though, this is a typical Baking Soda recipe, I use what I have lying around, a pinch here, a "bit of" there, add raisins or chocolate chips or nuts when I feel like, throw in some marzipan or almond paste....Ah well I will try to behave and post a proper recipe. You know the kind where the wise people speak of grams or cups....
So here we go:
Ingredients: (hows that for starters)
1/2 cup (50 gr) butter/margarine
1 cup sugar
1 egg
2 apples, peeled and chopped
1/2 cup nuts/raisins/whatever you feel like or none at all (told you, here we go)
1 cup all purpose flour
1/2 ts baking soda
1/2 ts baking powder
1/4 ts salt (pinch or two)
1/2 ts cinnamon, or pumpkin spice, or speculaaskruiden
1/2 ts vanilla aroma or lemon or rum or almond.....(don't say I didn't warn you)
Anyway
Cream butter and sugar, mix in the egg. Add applepieces and desired filling.
Sift together flour, soda, powder, salt and spices and carefully stir the dry ingredients with the apple butter mixture.
Spoon into a browniepan or caketin or even a muffinpan will do. Bake for 40 minutes on 175grC or 350F. Don't overcook, so make sure to check your oven near end of stated baking time.
Hoi Karen,
Berichtje gelezen?
